Dish Gal's guide to getting the most out of life, one meal at a time...

Christmas Eve at Dish Gal's

Dish Mom is 1/2 Italian and 1/2 Polish, and on Christmas Eve, it's always been a tradition to have a traditional Polish feast of homemade pierogies.

Like dumplings (but better), our versions come stuffed with mashed potatoes or sauerkraut. My Uncle (Dish Mom's brother) has the record of 22 pierogies in one sitting. Dish Brother has come close, but I don't think he has surpassed it... In any case, it's hands down my favorite meal of the whole year. I'm getting excited just thinking about it right now!

Anyway, here's a photo of me helping Dish Mom out with the dough when I was 2. Hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas and holidays. Enjoy!!

Love,

Dish Gal
