Dish Gal's guide to getting the most out of life, one meal at a time...

Portions at Au Bon Pain

So I scooted across the street from work today when the 4 pm low blood sugar hit to try Au Bon Pain's new "Portions" options. Basically, the chain now offers little snacks that one might make if they were at their house with all the options of a fridge available, but in the convenience of little containers you can grab and go. AND the best part is they are all under 200 calories. Definitely a step up from the vending machine, it'll cost you though... some may balk at the idea of paying $3 for a few grapes, a slice of cheese, and some crackers, but I say, paying 2 dollars more than Twizzlers is a wise investment in Dish Gal's book....

Some examples: Chickpea and tomato salad, tomatoes stuffed with tuna salad, thai peanut chicken on some romaine, hummus and cucumbers, brie and crackers.
