Chicken Sausage, Green Apple, and Fontina Quesadilla recipe

This is one of my favorite quick and ridiculously easy recipes that feels more decadent than it is. The sweet apple chicken sausage goes great with the melty fontina and the crunch of the apples. And you only need 4 ingredients. Hope you enjoy!

Chicken Sausage, Green Apple, and Fontina Quesadillas
Serves 1

1 link sweet apple chicken sausage, sliced thin
wedge fontina cheese, sliced thin
1 granny smith apple, sliced thin, about 1/8 of an inch
1 tortilla

1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Once hot, throw in the sliced chicken sausages. Saute until golden brown, about 6 or 7 minutes. Set aside.
2. Wipe down the pan and re-grease it with your choice of a little olive oil, a little butter, or some cooking spray. Re-heat to medium.

3. Lightly butter one side of the tortilla. Flip over, and layer on some cheese, then some apples, then the sausage. Close.

4. Place in the pan, and weigh down with anything heavy, or hold down with a spatula. Heat on each side for about 3 minutes, or until its lightly browned.

Enjoy!
